When anyone says that any group of people are all alike, it is a lie, usually designed to separate you from THEM. Whether it is a race,ethnic group, religious sect or political party, it is a lie.

As I wrote in my previous post, no two people are the same much less an entire group of them. I have battled stereotypes all of my adult life. The best way is to get to know ten or more members of the group individually and personally. You will discover two things; they are not alike and they are more like you than the stereotype lead you to believe, If you get to know less than ten, you might think they are exceptions and the others still fit the stereotype.

Once we discover how much we have in common, they can’t divide and control us.

God loves variety. Just look at the countless species of plants He created. From a tiny blade of grass to a gigantic redwood tree. Then there are the vast species of animal life from tiny gnats to huge whales and elephants,including humans.

We know now that each human is unique,Our DNA determines our gender and appearance and even identical twins have different personalities and reaction to environment. Our Creator knows and loves us the same, but His plans for each of us is unique based on our abilities and gifts.

C.S. Lewis, an atheist professor in England who studied the Bible to disprove Christianity and became a believer and the greatest defender of faith of his generation, wrote a book with the same title as this blog post In it, he tells how he saw no room for joy in a life of humble, even sacrificial service to God and others until he became a Christian and felt it for himself,

After over 71 years believing in and following Jesus Christ, I am no longer surprised by the joy in my heart, but I love and appreciate it more every day..
