I’m Back

For the last two months I have been in the VA hospital for tests, major surgery and two other “procedures”. I’m back home now and ready to resume this blog. God obviously is not done with me yet. It was the multitude of prayers that were offered up on my behalf and God’s response to them that brought me through.

I’m a few days late with this Christmas post, but it is important to share the meaning of Christmas. There would be no Christmas without Christ and no Christian life to live. John 3:16 tells us all we need to know. As C.S. Lewis put it, “The Son of God became a man so that men could become the sons of God”.

Jesus is not a “half-breed”. He is one hundred percent human and one hundred percent God. His life, death and resurrection permit us to have a personal relationship with God. We can gain everlasting life only through Christ Jesus. Beginning with serving God here in this earthly life and then never ending life in God’s presence.

I am especially glad that I have been allowed to celebrate another Christmas with my brothers and sisters in Christ here on earth. God has been with me through this ordeal. He made it possible for me to go through it all without fear and with minimal pain. He also gave me the opportunity to testify about His love and pray for those I encountered along the way,  God had a purpose for me to be in that hospital in addition to my healing and health.

I hope each of you had a blessed Christmas weekend and I pray the New Year will bring blessings and peace into your life.
